About Me

I feel that it is most important for you, as voters, to know who you are electing to be a leader, advocate, and representative for your childrens’ education - as such, here is a little bit about me to give you a better understanding of who I am, and why being trustee would fit so well into my life.

My name is Carolyn Butterworth [Kearns] and I was born and raised in East Gwillimbury. I have lived in Mount Albert since 1994 with my husband, Jeff, where we have raised our two children, Zach and Lauren. We have immersed ourselves in the community through our active involvement in our children’s extracurricular activities, such as rep hockey, minor softball, school sports, and more. I am an executive member and paddler of the Georgina Dragonboat Club, currently participating in my eighth season. I love camping, reading, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, long walks and sometimes short runs!
